This challenge was to make a card with a friendship theme that incorporated the color pink and ribbon. When I saw the sentiment in this set I felt that it went with the theme and purpose of these cards since the cards are being donated to benefit patients being treated for breast cancer. Sometimes a friend can help in ways that a family member can't.

This challenge was titled "things are looking up" and the challenge was to create a card with things we can see when look up (birds, bees, balloons, airplanes, clouds, sky, stars, sun, rainbows, sunsets, mountains...you get the idea!). I've had this image stamped for quite some time now and I finally had a chance to use it. When I saw the background paper it reminded me of honeycomb and I knew I had to use it. Needless to say, my colors came directly from the background paper and it gave me the opportunity to use up more of the discontinued card stock that I have.

This is another card for the HYCCT challenge. This challenge was titled "Hang in There" and the challenge was to create a card that with a hanging image (ornament, stocking, etc.) or that had hanging element (charm, tag, etc). It wasn't mandatory to use pink but, these cards are being donated to UT MD Anderson Cancer Center to benefit patients being treated for breast cancer and their families, I thought pink would be appropriate.

The colors green and yellow represent hope and brown represents comfort so the challenge was to use all three colors to create a card. All of these colors look great together on a card and once I found this paper in my stash I new I had to use it. In order to get the flowers lined up I used my stamp-a-ma-jig (I told you I love that tool). Once I had all of the elements stamped it was just a matter of coming up with a layout that I was happy with and that also would incorporate my designer paper.

The title for this post was the actual title given to the HYCCT challenge. It is the idea of looking in on someone who is battling an illness whether it be a temporary sickness or a battle for their life. Hence the challenge of a window card. I decided that if I were looking in on someone from a distance I would send them a "get well" card so that is what I went with. To create the window I used my circle nestabilities dies and stamped the sentiment through the window using my stamp-a-ma-jig to get the correct placement. The white layer was embossed using the finial press embossing folder and then the flowers were adhered using mini glue dots. Once I had the flowers on the card seemed off balance so I decided to add the bow.
