Christmas in July

It seems like Christmas comes earlier and earlier in retail every year.  I stopped in at Hobby Lobby yesterday and was surprised to see so many Christmas things out already.  With that in mind I thought I would post a couple of Christmas cards that I've made so far this year.

Both of these cards utilize some of the Stampin' Up rub-ons that I've had for some time now. I'm trying to use some of my supplies that I've had for years instead of buying new.  For the card with Santa, all of the rub-ons are on card stock and the for the card below I used acetate for the main rub-on image and card stock for the small snowflakes.  The acetate piece was attached to the red card stock with mini silver brads because I didn't want to have any adhesive showing.

I wanted to get a jump start on Christmas cards and one of my New Year's resolutions was to create at least 10 Christmas cards a month.  I'm happy to say that I've completed over 50 cards so far.  Not exactly the 10 a month I was hoping for but still so much more than I've had in previous years.  It has been such a great summer so far I've neglected my stamping except for cards that I absolutely had to make (birthday, anniversary, sympathy, etc).
