Ears to You!

Thought I'd post the last 2 cards I made using the single stamp "Ears to You".  With the exception of whisper white, all of the card stock I used for these cards has been discontinued.  It is amazing how much discontinued products I still have.

Ink:  Ballet Blue, Pixie Pink, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Green Galore, Black, Craft White

Bright Easter Bunnies

This card uses the same stamps as the card I posted yesterday but, by changing a few elements you can get a completely different look.  Instead of a banner the embossed eggs create a border at the bottom of the card.  Instead of two bunnies, all three of the bunnies were stamped on the decorative label framelits die cut.  Instead of a frame of embossed tulips the top portion was embossed using the vine street embossing folder with a triple layer scalloped border.  A 3/4" strip of whisper white card stock was added across the center of the card and then the ribbon was added to complete the card.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Ears to You, Easter Blossoms
Paper:  Whisper White, Green Galore, Ballet Blue, Only Orange, Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac
Ink:  Craft White, Green Galore, Ballet Blue, Only Orange
Accessories:  Vine Street Embossing Folder, Decorative Labels Framelits Dies, White Embossing Powder, Scallop Border Punch, 3/8" Circle Punch, Bluebird Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Sweet Bunnies

I send a few cards at Easter to family and close friends and I couldn't resist purchasing the single stamp called "Ears to You" to create a few of the cards this year.  Although this is a "single" stamp I decided to create two stamps by separating the sentiment from the three bunnies.  It was great not having to mask the sentiment every time I stamped the bunnies.  The egg is from a stamp set called Easter Blossoms that was available last year but, unfortunately didn't make the catalog this year.  Since banners are so popular now, I decided to incorporate the eggs into a banner by stringing them together with some bakers twine.  Once the banner was on the card it felt like something was missing until the flowers were added.  After the flowers were added to the banner the card felt complete.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Ears to You, Easter Blossoms
Paper:  Whisper White, Ballet Blue, Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Only Orange, Lovely Lilac
Ink:  Pixie Pink, Ballet Blue, Craft White
Accessories:  White Embossing Powder, Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Decorative Labels Framelits Dies, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch, 3/8" Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Rhinestones, Pearls, Bakers Twine, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Chalkboard Technique Birthday Banner

The second challenge for the March AOCC was to get back to basics and create a card using black and white.  I struggled with this challenge but, I guess that's why it's called a "challenge".  I guess I took the easy way out by creating a card using the chalkboard technique.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Hearts a Flutter, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Paper:  Whisper White, Black
Ink:  Versa Mark, Craft White
Accessories:  White Embossing Powder, Bakers Twine, Rhinestones, Crystal Effects, White Pencil, Ruler

Framed Butterfly

This card is very similar to the card I posted yesterday except there are no stamped elements on this card.  I used the other half of the elements that were cut using the Decorative Labels Framelits dies and punched butterflies from the DSP to mount onto the embossed oval frame.

Supplies Used:
Paper:  Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Raspberry Tart DSP
Accessories:  Decorative Labels Collection Framelits Dies, Marvy Scalloped Oval Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Oval Frame Embossing Folder, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Coral Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Bloomin' Marvelous Frame

I'm trying to catch up on the cards I needed to make for the March 2013 All Occasion Card Challenges.  The first challenge was to create a nature card with anything other snow.  Since Easter is just around the corner I decided to make something very Spring-like.  The flowers are from a "free" set called "Bloomin' Marvelous" that was available during Sale-a-Bration this year.  The border was inspired by the Happy Hello Simply Set Card Kit that was also free during Sale-a-bration.  I used the two largest dies from the decorative labels framelits and then cut them in half and mounted them to the bottom of the embossed section and used the ribbon to cover the seam.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Bloomin' Marvelous, On the Grow
Paper:  Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Raspberry Tart DSP
Ink:  Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Black
Accessories:  Decorative Labels Collection Framelits Dies, Marvy Scallop Oval Punch, Oval Frame Embossing Folder, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Coral Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Dimensionals

Secret Garden Anniversary

This is my 2nd card for the AOCC using two or more dies.  I wasn't originally going to buy this set since I have so many flower stamps already but I couldn't resist because it had the matching framelit dies.  It was so nice not having to "fussy" cut the flowers.  I wanted the embossed layer of mellow moss card stock to stand out a little more so I used a sponge dauber and white craft ink to highlight the embossing.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Secret Garden, All Year Cheer III
Paper:  Whisper White, Mellow Moss, Rose Romance, Always Artichoke, So Saffron
Ink:  Versa Mark, Soft Suede, Rose Red, White Craft
Accessories:  Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Oval & Scallop Oval Nestabilities Dies, Secret Garden Framelits, Little Leaves Sizzlits, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, White Embossing Powder, Frost White Shimmer Mist, Pearls, Dimensionals

Pinwheel Thanks

The second AOCC (all occasion card challenge) for the month of February was to make a card using 2 different dies.  I actually used 3 different dies for this card.  The pinwheels are attached to thin strips of sahara sand card stock and inserted into a slit that I cut into the top of the jar.  The pinwheels are attached to the inside of the jar with a small glue dot.  If you look closely you can just barely see it.  To attach the jar to the card front I used dimensionals hidden behind the pinwheels.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Perfectly Preserved, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper:  Whisper White, Vellum Card Stock, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Sycamore Street DSP
Ink:  Black
Accessories:  Sizzlits Pinwheel, Cannery Set Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Cloud Embossing Folder, Mini Brads, Island Indigo Ruffles Ribbon, Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Birthday Ticket

This is the second card I created for the AOCC (all occasion card challenge) using supplies I've had for years.  I combined the old with the new for this card.  The "old" is the designer paper combined with the new honeycomb embossing folder and a new stamp set called "That's the Ticket".  I hope Stampin' Up comes out with a hexagon punch in the new catalog because cutting out all those hexagons wasn't easy.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  That's the Ticket
Paper:  Whisper White, Rose Red, Ballet Blue, Cutie Pie DSP
Ink:  Rose Red
Accessories:  Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Ticket Duo Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Bakers Twine, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

Birthday Balloons

I'm finally posting the cards I created for the "all occasion card challenge" for the month of February.  There are 2 challenges each month and the first challenge was to cut down of some of  the "stuff" and use up scrap items or anything else that has been collecting dust.  I've had this background paper for years and I've still got Stampin' Up paper that was discontinued years ago so this wasn't a difficult challenge.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Up, Up & Away
Paper:  Whisper White, Ballet Blue, Gumball Green, DCWV The Summer Matstack
Ink:  Ballet Blue, Gumball Green, So Saffron, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Clouds Embossing Folder, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

Monochromatic Blooming Birthday

I'm trying to get a jump start for the AOCC (all occasion card challenge) for March.  The first challenge was to create a "nature" card with anything except snow.  I'm all for getting rid of the snow and I'm definitely ready for Spring.  So with Spring in mind I went with a soft pastel color and a flower image.  I'm also using supplies that I've had for years (mostly discontinued card stock).  I had a difficult time getting a good picture of this card.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Blooming with Kindness
Paper:  Whisper White, Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Almost Amethyst DSP
Ink:  Versa Mark, Lavender Lace
Accessories:  Pastel Lilac Jewels Embossing Powder, Scallop Border Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals
