Apricot Daisies

This is the final card I have a photo of that was donated as part of a card set for a benefit.  I made a similar card to this one in February for a co-worker.  So I guess you could say I CASE'd myself.  This card came together quickly and would look good in almost any color.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Reason to Smile
Paper:  Whisper White, Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal DSP
Ink:  Versa Mark, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories:  White Embossing Powder, Adorning Accents Edgelit, Sponge Dauber, Blossom Punch, Boho Blossom Punch, Button, White Twine, Mini Glue Dots

Reason to Smile

I've seen various cards that have an image stamped over script and then the image is colored.  I really like the look of it and wanted to try to create something with a similar effect.  The French Script background stamp was inked with black and off-stamped before stamping onto the circle and then I stamped the flower images in black ink over the script.  The flowers were colored using rose red and old olive markers.  Initially, I was going to mount the stamped image onto a scallop circle of rose red card stock but decided it really didn't need the extra layer.  To finish the card I added some rose red dsp mounted to a piece of rose red card stock with one edge scalloped and added some rose red seam binding ribbon to finish.  I wanted the card to have a little sparkle but didn't feel like getting the glitter out so, I opted on using a Sakura glitter pen to highlight the petals.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Reason to Smile, French Script
Paper:  Whisper White, Rose Red, Rose Red DSP
Ink:  Black, Rose Red, Old Olive
Accessories:  2 1/2" Circle Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon, Sakura Glitter Pen

Thinking of You

Another card using the vintage vogue stamp set but this time using only orange card stock.  The vintage vogue stamp set is very versatile and I used it to make 4 different cards that I put together to donate.  Although I used the same stamp set for 4 cards, each one was unique and different.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Vintage Vogue, On the Grow
Paper:  Whisper White, Only Orange, Sassy DSP
Ink:  Only Orange, Certainly Celery, Black
Accessories:  Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Pearls, Paper Piercing Tool, Dimensionals

Bright Vintage Vogue Birthday

Here is another card that was made for the card sets I donated.  I struggled with this card because I really wanted to use yoyo yellow card stock but find it a difficult color to work with hence all of the white card stock.  I do really like the way the card turned out though so I guess the secret to working with a bright color is to temper it with a neutral.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Vintage Vogue, Sincere Salutations
Paper:  Whisper White, Yoyo Yellow
Ink:  Yoyo Yellow, Pink Passion, Certainly Celery, Black
Accessories:  Dots Embossing Folder, Yoyo Yellow Grosgrain Ribbon, Frost White Shimmer Mist, Dimensionals

Bright Flowered Panels

This is the 2nd card I made for the sets I donated for the benefit.  A very clean and simple card.  Although the colors are bright, the gray card stock helps to tone everything down a little.   The flowers were stamped using the same color as the card stock and then I used a pencil eraser to stamp the centers in basic gray ink.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Vintage Vogue
Paper:  Whisper White, Basic Gray, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Pink Passion
Ink:  Basic Gray, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Pink Passion
Accessories:  Basic Gray Satin Ribbon, Pencil w/Eraser

Polka Dot Punches

As I mentioned in a post last week, I made some items to donate for a benefit and also decided to make a couple of card sets to donate as well.  I made 2 sets of 8 cards to donate for the benefit and I will be posting them this week.  Each set contained various card designs but the sets were the same.  Unfortunately, I only got pictures of 7 out of the 8 cards because I forgot to take a picture of the last card I made.  Most of the supplies used have been discontinued but I hate to get rid of perfectly good card stock, stamps, and ink.  I kept the cards basic and simple without lots of embellishments so that no extra postage will be required to mail them.

For this card, I stamped in versa mark ink on the card stock and embossed using black or white embossing powder.  The sentiment is from a stamp set called "All in a Row" that was discontinued several years ago but I love the images in that set.  The background panel was embossed using a paisley embossing folder (non-SU).  The layout is simple and clean.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Polka Dot Punches, All in a Row
Paper:  Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Black
Ink:  Versa Mark
Accessories:  Paisley Embossing Folder, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Black Brads, White Embossing Powder, Black Embossing Powder, Dimensionals
