Snowflakes and Lace

It has snowed here the last couple of days and everything looks so clean and white just like this card. I had purchased a package of the lace paper doilies from Michaels intending to use them on a Christmas card for my daughter (she wanted a "shabby chic" card). Naturally I didn't end up using the lace doily on her card (and I mailed the card before taking a picture). Anyway, I was cleaning up my work table and the package of the paper doilies were sitting there and I decided to see what I could come up with and this card is the result. I'm not sure what I'll do with it at this point but I think it would be nice card for a winter wedding or anniversary. Who knows maybe I'll save it and use for a Christmas card.

Four Squares?

Technically they aren't square but I couldn't think of a better title. As you can see I'm still using discontinued card stock. I have so much of the old card stock it will take me a long time to use it all up especially when I'm only using 2" squares at a time.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Punched Posies, Vintage Labels
Paper: Whisper White, Only Orange, Pink Passion, Gable Green, Lavender Lace
Ink: Versa Mark, Only Orange, Pink Passion, Gable Green, Lavender Lace, Black
Accessories: Dots Embossing Folder, Corner Rounder Punch, White Embossing Folder, Bakers Twine, Dimensionals

Cake Layers

I have set some goals this year to use some of the items that have been discontinued by Stampin' Up for years now and to make Christmas cards throughout the year so that I won't be stressed out in November trying to make over 100 cards.
This card using some items that have been discontinued for a long time and some that were from last years Sale-a-Bration. For some reason February is a very busy month for birthdays for me so I'm trying to get a head start. I can't believe that I still have pink passion card stock. It was never one of my favorites since it is so bright but I think anyone who has a birthday in February needs a bright and cheery card.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Birthday Bliss
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pink Passion, Brocade Blue, Peach Parfait, Ice Cream Parlor DSP
Ink: Black, SU Markers
Accessories: Nestabilities Circle and Scallop Circle Dies, Bluebird Grosgrain Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Mat Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Dimensionals

Age is all in your Mind!

This is the card I made for my husband's birthday. I saw this card and loved how simple the look was but I knew it took some effort to create. I don't own the stamp set "Delightful Dozen" so I had to come up with something else to put in the circle. I started looking through my supplies and came across some rub-ons with this sentiment and it was perfect. I had to cut the sentiment down into strips that would fit into the circle and I love how it turned out.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Bring on the Cake
Paper: Very Vanilla, Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
Ink: Black
Accessories: Rub-ons, 1/2" Circle Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Photo Corner Punch, Library Clip, Brad, Dimensionals

Navy Snowflake Trio

I can't seem to get out of the wintery cards. I need to put the northern frost die away and get on away from the snowflakes. I love the simplicity of this card and I think it could be used for any occasion and it is very neutral so it could be given to a man or a woman.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy
Accessories: Snow Burst Embossing Folder, Northern Frost Die Strip, Eyelet Border Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Rhinestone Brads

Wintery Scene

I had these snowflakes sitting on my work table and decided to put them to use. I didn't want it to necessarily be a Christmas card so I kept it simple. I think this card could be used for a winter wedding, birthday or even a sympathy card.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Very Vanilla
Accessories: Swirl Embossing Folder, Dots Embossing Folder, EK Success Christmas Tree Punch, Sizzlits Snowflakes Dies, SU Snowflake Punch, Top Note Die, Liquid Gold Paint Pen, Gold Cord, Pearls, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Petal Prints

One of the women that my husband works with has gotten another job and he asked me to make a card for her. After all of the Christmas cards I have made over the past couple of months it was nice to make something different. I pulled out one of my older stamp sets for this card and kept it very simple. The flowers were colored using markers in various shades of purple which helps create some depth.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: More Petal Prints, Sincere Salutations
Paper: Very Vanilla, Almost Amethyst, Elegant Eggplant
Ink: Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dew Drops, Glitter Pen

Winter Fun

I've been going through my stamp supplies and trying to use some of the things I have and came across these "Old Saint Nick" rub-ons. When I saw all of the snowflake images and the sentiment these cards came together very quickly. The white snowflakes were matched with the brilliant blue card stock and the chocolate chip snowflakes were matched with very vanilla card stock. I also spritzed the very vanilla card with frost white shimmer mist and it just takes the card to the next level. There were no stamps or ink used to create these cards.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Whisper White, Brilliant Blue; Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Old Saint Nick Rub-ons, Frost White Shimmer Mist, Dimensionals
