Elegant Birthday

This is the card I made for my husband's birthday. For this card I decided to start with a sketch and go from there. I wanted the card to have layers and dimension and this sketch was perfect for that.

Here are the measurements for this card:

Card Base (1): Baja Breeze - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", Chocolate Chip - 4 1/8" x 5 3/8", Floral DSP - 4" x 5 1/4"

Horizontal Layer (2): Chocolate Chip - 2 1/2" x 4 1/8", Baja Breeze - 2 3/8" x 4 1/8", Striped DSP - 2 1/4" x 4 1/8"

Vertical Layer (3): Chocolate Chip - 3 1/2" x 3", Baja Breeze - 3 3/8" x 2 7/8", Polka Dot DSP - 3 1/4" x 2 3/4"

Horizontal Layer (4): Chocolate Chip - 3 1/2" x 1 7/8", Baja Breeze - 3 3/8" x 1 3/4", Checkered DSP - 3 1/4" x 1 5/8"

Vertical Layer (5): Baja Breeze - 2 1/8" x 2 3/8", Chocolate Chip - 2" x 2 1/4", Baja Breeze - 1 7/8" x 2 1/8", Whisper White (Stamped) - 1 3/4" x 2"

Tag: Chocolate Chip - 9/16" x 1 1/2", Baja Breeze - 7/16" x 1 3/8", Whisper White (stamped) - 5/16" x 1 1/4"

The whisper white card stock (1 3/4" x 2") was stamped using one of the images from the Elegant Ornaments stamp set (discontinued) using baja breeze ink. I stamped the "happy birthday" from Teeny Tiny Wishes to a scrap piece of whisper white card stock with baja breeze ink and then cut it to size.

Each layer of the card was assembled separately and a piece of chocolate chip taffeta ribbon was added to layer 4 before I put the whole card together. Once all of the layers were assembled I then added the layers. Layers 3, 4 and 5 were adhered to the card base using dimensionals. The tag was then attached to the chocolate chip taffeta ribbon using silver cord and the dew drops were adhered using crystal effects. I really love how this card turned out.

Supplies Used: Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Parisian Breeze DSP; Ink: Baja Breeze; Stamps: Elegant Ornaments, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Other: Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Silver Cord, Dew Drops, Crystal Effects, Dimensionals
