Masculine Birthday Wishes

 

Another masculine birthday card for a co-worker using Jersey Shore DSP again.  It is amazing how different the 3 cards look even though the same designer paper was used on each one.  This card could become a very feminine card by changing the colors, the designer paper and possibly using a fancier sentiment.  I like all the elements and how each one flows into the other.

Gorgeous Grunge Meets Off the Grid

 

 

This was the card I created for my son's birthday.  I've been wanting to create a card using Gorgeous Grunge and Off the Grid since I think they coordinate so well together.  It is hard to tell from the photo but the letters H & B were stamped in versa mark ink and embossed with black embossing powder.  I was a little hesitant to use real red ink with the splatter stamp (looks a little to close to blood splatter) but red is one of my son's favorite colors.  I really like how this card turned out and I can't wait to make more cards using these sets.

Punch Bunch Masculine Birthday

 

This card was created for a co-worker and is a CASE of a card I created in January.  You can see that card here.  I like both cards but they are so different looking because of the color choices.  This card is bright and vibrant compared to the one I created in January.

Cupcake with Sprinkles

 

This card was inspired by a card created by Connie Collins which you can see here.  I made a few changes but kept the same basic layout.  To create the cupcake I used the cupcake builder punch and then used a paper crimper for the cupcake base.   The beads were adhered with crystal effects from the discontinued brights beads.  The crocheted lace border and the glitter paper are non-SU products.

Teen Birthday

 

This card was for my nephew who turned 15 this year.  I kept the card clean and simple and used Syracuse University colors to bring it all together.  To line up the birthday sentiment I used a my grid paper and a stamp-a-ma-jig.  The birthday sentiment measured approximately 1/4" high so I started in the center of my 2 3/4" square and spaced the sentiments 1/4" apart.

Simply Elegant Holiday

 

This is the second monochromatic card I created for the August 2013 Christmas card challenge.  I stayed with my favorite color and used green but for this card I used old olive.  This card looks very clean and simple but the challenge was lining up all of the medallions and in order to achieve this I used a stamp-a-ma-jig.  I love the elegant look of this card.

Christmas Package

 

The August 2013 Christmas card challenge was to create a monochromatic card and I decided to use my favorite color...green.   I chose to use the color certainly celery, which was one of the colors that was discontinued when Stampin' Up did a color refresh for the 2013-2014 catalog.  This ended up being a very clean and simple card.

Country Flowers in Mason Jar

 

My daughter asked me to make a card for a shower that she was attending.  She said the bride-to-be was having baby's breath in mason jars for the table centerpieces and this was the card I created for her to give with the gift.  The shower was a couple of weeks ago and I remembered that I hadn't posted the card yet.

SpongeBob Square Pants!

 

How about some punch art!  My great-nephew turned 2 and had a SpongeBob Square Pants themed birthday party and I couldn't resist the challenge to create a card to go with the theme.  There are several versions of punch art SpongeBob cards and this is my version.  Actually, this was a fairly easy card to create you just need circle punches.
