Now that the holidays are over and the last of the Christmas cards have been posted, I thought I would post some of the cards that I've made this year but never got around to putting on my blog.  This birthday card came together quickly and I was pleased with how it turned out.  Inspired by a card created by Mary Fish.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Garden Green, Pool Party DSP
Ink:  Black

Christmas Deer

As soon as I saw this Christmas Deer stamp set I knew that I had to have it.  Not only can I use it for Christmas cards but just using the deer stamp alone will make great masculine cards.  For this card I cut whisper white card stock using the labels collection framelit die and then stamped the deer using versa mark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.  I masked off the horizon with a torn strip of paper and the moon using a 1 1/4" circle and then sponged the sky using baja breeze and not quite navy ink.  To create snow drifts I used the same torn strip of paper as the horizon and sponged with not quite navy ink.  The ornament on the antlers was stamped using versa mark ink and embossed with navy embossing powder.  The image was mounted on a layer of not quite navy card stock and attached using dimensionals to the card base.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Christmas Deer, Christmas Punch
Paper:  Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Ski Slope DSP
Ink:  Versa Mark, Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy
Accessories:  Labels Collection Framelits Die, Large Oval Punch, Snowburst Embossing Folder, Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon, Silver Embossing Powder, Navy Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Ornaments

Yesterday I posted various Christmas trees and today's focus will be ornaments.  I have four cards today and 2 of them use the same layout and stamp set but they look very different from each other because of the colors used. Again, I will post links to any inspirations used.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Merry & Type, Four the Holidays
Paper: Whisper White, Almost Amethyst, Night of Navy, Green Galore, Brushed Gold, Almost Amethyst DSP
Ink: Versa Mark, Night of Navy, Various SU Markers
Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder, Gold Embossing Powder, Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch

This card was inspired by a group of cards created by Lisa Foster.  She used much more ribbon to create her bow with and also embossed the leaves.  I wanted to mail this card so I opted for a smaller bow.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Delightful Decorations, Christmas Greetings
Paper:  Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Accessories:  Northern Flurries Embossing Folder, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Ornament Punch, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones, Silver Cord, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

This is probably my favorite of the ornament cards.  It looks like a very simple card but there are lots of layers and little details.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Traditional Touches, Snowflakes
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Ski Slope DSP
Ink:  Baja Breeze, Real Red, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Nestabilities Circle and Scallop Circle Dies, Chocolate Chip Twill Ribbon, Linen Thread, Button, Paper Piercing Tool, Rhinestones, Sakura Glitter Pen, White Gel Pen, Mini Glue Dots, Dimenionals

More Christmas Trees

This will be my second post today with the focus of the cards being a Christmas Tree.  The first card was inspired by a card I saw on Dawn Olchefske's blog.  I had quite a few strips of paper left over from the previous cards I posted and thought this was a great way to use up the scraps. I changed a few things from her original card to make it my own.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Greetings of the Season
Paper: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Red Glimmer Paper, Festival of Prints DSP
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories: Snowburst Embossing Folder, Holiday Collection Framelits Die, Dimensionals

This card was inspired by a card I saw on Sharon Burkett's blog.  I don't own the Merry Minis Punch Pack so I used a mini tree punch that I've had for several years.  I kept the same basic layout but she used ribbon on her card and I just used a strip of basic black card stock.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Greetings of the Season, Bold Snowflake
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, DCWV Glitter Pack
Ink: Black, Illuminate Shimmer Watermark
Accessories:  1" Square Punch, Postage Stamp Punch, Mini Tree Punch, Dimensionals

For this card I wanted something very vintage looking and the tree from the Christmas Lodge stamp set is the perfect image.  The card stock and ink I used have both been discontinued and of course I'm still trying to use my old supplies.  To make the pearls red I used a Sharpie permanent marker and just colored them.  It works great and you can make any color pearl you want. It works with rhinestones too!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Christmas Lodge
Paper: Very Vanilla, Ruby Red, Forest Foliage
Ink: Ruby Red, Forest Foliage
Accessories:  Pearls, Sharpie Marker, Snowburst Embossing Folder, Dots Embossing Folder, Oval Nestabilities Die, Dimensionals

Christmas Trees

Yesterday's post contained various cards using the Dasher image and for today's post I'll focus on the Christmas tree.  Not necessarily a Christmas tree stamp, but the various cards I made with the main focus being the Christmas Tree.  Enjoy!

Supplies Used:
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Silver Glimmer, Festival of Prints DSP
Accessories:  Holiday Collection Framelits Die, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Snowburst Embossing Folder, Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, Petal Cone Die, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon, Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, Taupe Grosgrain Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Beer Mug

I made this card for a guy I work with and he loved it.  To make the beer mug, begin with a 4" x 5 1/2" card base and so saffron card stock.  To create the handle of the mug trim off a 1 1/4" square at the top and bottom on the folded edge and punch the handle out with the word window  punch.  Round the edges with a corner rounder punch on the handle and the bottom edges of the beer mug.  Cut 3 strips 1/2" x 5" and use a 1" circle punch to round the ends.  Sponge all edges of the so saffron card stock using more mustard ink.  Punch 3 scallop circles in whisper white card stock and 5 small scallop circle flowers using the boho blossoms punch and sponge edges using bashful blue ink.  Adhere elements as shown making sure the card will fit into a standard A2 envelope.  I used my grid paper to ensure I didn't exceed the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" standard A2 card measurements.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Vintage Labels
Paper:  Whisper White, So Saffron
Ink:  Black, Bashful Blue, More Mustard
Accessories:  Scallop Circle Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch, Linen Thread

Ho, Ho, Ho Easel Card

If you have never attempted to make an easel card it is something that I would encourage everyone to try.  They look more complicated than they are and the recipient will be truly impressed.  The only stamp I used for this card was the "Merry Christmas" sentiment.  I used rub-ons for the main image.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Whisper White, Brilliant Blue, Jersey Shore DSP
Ink:  Brilliant Blue
Accessories:  Circle & Scallop Circle Nestabilities Dies, Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Northern Frost Die Strip, Old Saint Nick Rub-ons, Rhinestone, Dimensionals

Vintage Christmas Lodge

Now that I've finished all of the cards for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges it is time the get my Christmas cards finished.  I usually make about 100 and I only have 3 dozen completed!  This image reminds me of the movie "White Christmas" so I tried to give it a vintage feel.

Paper:  Very Vanilla, Ruby Red, Crumb Cake
Ink:  Ruby Red, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Paper Lace Doily, Circle & Scallop Circle Nestabilities Dies, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Glitter Pen

Snowy Forest

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 31st - A Walk in the Woods

This challenge was to be inspired by the outdoors.  My inspiration comes from my own backyard.  Where I live there are lots of trees and animals and in the winter when things are covered in snow it is so peaceful looking.  I stamped the evergreen trees on glossy white card stock and used sponge daubers to fill in around the trees and to add the moon and sky.  The snow was created using craft white ink and white embossing powder.  I added the printed polka dot acetate sheet from the "Clearly Thanks" printed window sheets over the top and cut an oval in another layer of white card stock to create my window.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Lovely as a Tree
Paper:  Whisper White, Glossy White, Always Artichoke, Clearly Thanks Printed Window Sheets
Ink:  Old Olive, Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy, Craft White
Accessories:  Oval Nestabilities Die, White Embossing Powder, 2-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Northern Frost Snowflakes Die, Rhinestone, Mini Glue Dots

Baby Elephant

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 30th - Cork, Canvas or Clay

The challenge was to make a card using cork, canvas or clay.  I started looking through my stash of things and came across some little clay animals that I had purchased several years ago when a friend of mine was having a baby and I still had 3 of them left (a duck, a giraffe and an elephant).  I wasn't sure which one I would use until I picked out the DSP and the elephant was the best match with the colors.  To create the triangle patchwork background I used the pennant builder punch and delicate dots dsp.  The stitching was created using the zigzag looking stamp from "All in a Row" inked with craft white and embossed with white embossing powder.  The card came out even better than what I had pictured in my head.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  All in a Row
Paper:  Whisper White, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand, Delicate Dots DSP
Ink: Craft White
Accessories:  Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities Dies, Pennant Builder Punch, Bitty Banners Framelits Die, White Embossing Powder, Chit Chat Rub-ons, Clay Elephant (unknown), Dimensionals

Somethin' Sweet

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 29th - Real Witches Wear Pink!

For this challenge we were to be inspired by Pink-O-Ween and make a treat holder of some kind and use the colors of pink, white, black and silver.  I found the tutorial for this treat holder on Splitcoaststampers here called "Party Favor".  The tutorial was very easy to follow and comes together quickly.  I put some Dove dark chocolate treats inside.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  A Little Somethin'
Paper:  Whisper White, Black, Silver Glimmer, Sending Love DSP
Ink:  Black
Accessories:  1/4", 1" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Postage Stamp Punch, Silver Cord, White Ribbon

Time Passes...

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 28th - Clean and Simple Statement

The challenge was to make a clean and simple card with the sentiment as the focal point.  I'm not sure I accomplished the challenge or not, but this is definitely a clean and simple card (especially for me).

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Curvy Verses, Fifth Avenue Floral
Paper:  Whisper White, Rose Romance
Ink:  Regal Rose, Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Black

Trimming the Tree

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 27th - Window of Hope

The challenge was to create a card with a window.  I wanted to make a card that had a window as part of the stamp image and I found this stamp that I purchased years ago at a local stamp supply store.  I think this is the first time I've used this image.  No special techniques or anything with this card.  Just stamped and colored the image.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Christmas at Home (Uptown Rubber Stamps)
Paper:  Very Vanilla, River Rock, Always Artichoke
Ink:  Black, Various SU Markers
Accessories:  Glitter Pen, Frost White Shimmer Mist

Sweet Puppy

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 26th - Who Let The Dogs Out?

The challenge was to make a card for someone having a "ruff" day.  Of course there had to be a dog on it and also to include pink.  Naturally I don't own any stamps with dogs so I resorted to punch art for my creation.  Since I wanted to include the color pink I had to make a girl puppy.  I think she looks sweet and don't you just love the rhinestone collar!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Occasional Quotes
Paper:  Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Petals & Paisleys DSP
Ink: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  3/4", 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Crop-a-Dile, Owl Punch, Blossom Petals Punch, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Christmas Snowmen Around the World

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 25th - Ta Ta Toe

The second challenge for October 25th was to use a tic-tac-toe board and choose three things from the board (vertically, horizontally or diagonally) and create a card using the three elements.  I chose round, colored image and distressing.  It is a little difficult to see the distressing but both the white and red layers are distressed.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Around the World
Paper:  Whisper White, Real Red, Glorious Green
Ink:  Black, Real Red, Glorious Green, Creamy Caramel
Accessories:  Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Felt Flower, Snowflake Punch, Rhinestone Brad, Distressing Tool

Fresh Vintage Postage

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 25th - Let's Lick This Thing

There were two challenges posted for October 25th.  The first challenge was to create a card inspired by postage.  I really wanted to used the postage stamp from the Fresh Vintage stamp set and I had so many ideas I went in search of a sketch challenge to focus my thoughts.  Using a card sketch can really help in many ways.  I decided on SC356 and my card just came together.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Fresh Vintage
Paper:  Whisper White, Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Ballet Blue, DCWV Summer Mat Stack
Ink:  Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Ballet Blue

Canvas Kissed Evergreens

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 24th - Hugs & Kisses

The challenge was to stamp an image using the kissing technique.  Splitcoaststampers has a great tutorial here.  I have never attempted this technique before but I love how the trees turned out.  I inked up the tree image with certainly celery and "kissed" the image on the canvas background stamped that was inked with garden green.  You can really see the canvas effect on the trees.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Scenic Season, Canvas Background
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Merry Moments DSP
Ink: Certainly Celery, Garden Green
Accessories:  Swirls Embossing Folder, Oval & Scallop Oval Nestabilities Dies, Brass Snowflake with Brad, Frost White Shimmer Mist

Chicken S-O-U-P

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 23rd - Chicken S-O-U-P

The challenge was to use a chicken (hens and roosters counted) on the card and elements that spelled SOUP.  I don't own any stamps with chickens, hens or roosters so I decided a card in the shape of a chicken would be the way to go.

The elements I used that spelled soup are:
S - Scallop Heart Framelits Die
O - Overlay (the polka dot layer is acetate over the white card stock)
U - Upside down heart
P - Pearls (black pearls for the eyes)

No stamps or ink used to create this card.  What do you think of my Chicken S-O-U-P?

Supplies Used:
Paper: Whisper White, Ruby Red, Yoyo Yellow, Night & Day DSP (acetate sheet)
Accessories:  Scallop Framelits Heart Die, Full Heart Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Black Pearls, Mini Glue Dots

Embossed Poppies

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 22nd - Stand Like a Flamingo

The challenge was to be like a flamingo and use only one of each supply (ie: one stamp, one button, one ribbon, one sheet of dsp, etc).  The card base, sentiment and ink didn't count.  I decided to keep things real simple and stamped the poppies in white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  I wrapped the ribbon around the lower half of the poppies and adhered that to my white card base and added the sentiment with a simple pearl.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Pleasant Poppies, Thanks for Caring
Paper:  Whisper White, Pixie Pink
Ink:  White Craft Pigment
Accessories:  White Taffeta Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Pearl, Dimensionals

Clearly Blossoms

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 21st - Clearly Hopeful

This challenge was to create a card that incorporated something that was clear or that you could see through.  I found these printed acetate sheets that Stampin' Up discontinued several years ago and made a simple card.  The acetate was adhered to the card with the rhinestone brads and ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Perfect Day rub-ons (also a discontinued item).  A "clearly" clean and simple card with no stamps or ink.

Supplies Used:
Paper:  Whisper White, Basic Gray, Pink Passion
Accessories:  Clearly Thanks Printed Window Sheet, Perfect Day Rub-ons, Pink Rhinestone Brads, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals

Miss You

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 20th - Hope Is In The Air

The challenge was to create a card with something that can be found up in the air.  I chose this airplane stamp from the "Ain't Love Grand" stamp set.  I think this is the first time I've used this set.  The clouds were created with the cupcake punch and embossed with the fancy fan embossing folder.  I like how the folder created little cloud embossed images in the "clouds".

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Ain't Love Grand
Paper:  Whisper White, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Cutie Pie DSP
Ink: Black, So Saffron, Bashful Blue
Accessories:  So Saffron Ribbon, Cupcake Punch, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Paper Piercer, Paper Piercing Template, Mat Pack, Tombow Adhesive, Dimensionals

Pink Birthday Bliss

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 19th - A Birthday in Pink

This was an easy challenge - make a birthday card using pink.  There were inspirational pictures posted and I was inspired by this picture.  The cake on the pedestal cake plate is represented by the main image on the card, the cupcakes are represented by the polka dot paper, the pink and white layered squares are represented by the striped paper since they were laid out in rows and the glass bottles and jars are represented by the happy birthday sentiment which is placed vertically.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Birthday Bliss, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso, DCWV Background Paper
Ink: Black, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo
Accessories:  Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Framelits Label Dies, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Oval Punch, Dimensionals

Grateful Heart

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 18th - Vital Signs

The challenge was to make a card using one of the four main vital signs (heart beat/pulse, temperature, blood pressure, and breathing) as inspiration.  I wasn't sure what direction to take for this card but I think the sentiment fits. I had originally stamped the sentiment and the swirls in black but thought it was to much of a contrast with all the soft pink and white so I decided to try embossing it in white and it looks much nicer.  It was very difficult trying to get a good picture with all of the soft colors.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Pursuit of Happiness, Baroque Motifs
Paper:  Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Unknown DSP
Ink:  Versa Mark, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose
Accessories:  White Embossing Powder, Hearts Framelits, Pink Satin Ribbon, Frost White Shimmer Mist, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Butterfly Kindness

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 17th - Pinking Shears

The challenge was to use an embossing folder, scissors, border punches, edgelits, etc to create a decorative edge on the card.  I opted to create a decorative edge using a border punch not on the edge of the card but across the middle.  This card is basically a CASE of this card.  I changed the card size and colors but its basically the same card.  I've always admired Beate's work and appreciate all the tutorials and work she does for Splitcoaststampers.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Great Friend, Whimsical Words
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Kiwi Kiss, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Provo Craft Bitty Scraps Pad
Ink:  Kiwi Kiss, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
Accessories:  Eyelet Scallop Border Punch, Paper Piercing Tool, Paper Piercing Template, Kiwi Kiss Double Sided Ribbon, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Frost White Shimmer Mist, Dew Drops, Dimensionals

Silhouette Sentiment

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 16th - Two Time The Fun

For this challenge everything used on the card there had to be two of but they had to be slightly different. They could be two different patterned papers, two different buttons, two different ribbons, two different stamps, etc.  Sounds simple enough but I had a difficult time with this challenge.  This is my list of twos that I used on this card: 2 different stamp sets; 2 different colors card stock; 2 different patterned papers; 2 different embossing folders; 2 different punches; 2 different sizes of pearls; 2 different colors of ribbons; 2 different colors of ink; and 2 different dies.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Silhouette Sentiments, On the Grow
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Elegant Soiree DSP
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze
Accessories:  Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Fancy Fan and Oval Frame Embossing Folders, Word Window and Extra Large Oval Punches, Nestabilities Scallop Oval Die, Framelits Bitty Banner Die, Large and Small Pearls, Dimensionals

Fabulous Glitter

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 15th - Shine It Out

The second challenge for October 15th was to create a card using lots of sparkle.  This card definitely has lots of sparkle.  I stamped the flower three times in rose red and cut two of the images to create layers and dimension.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Fabulous Flowers
Paper:  Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Rose Red, Raspberry Tart DSP
Ink:  Rose Red, Versa Mark
Accessories:  Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Two-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Reflecting in Peaceful Waters

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 15th - Peaceful Pink

The month is half over, so for October 15th there was a double challenge.  The first challenge was to create a card that evokes peace, calm, and serenity with a touch (or splash) of pink.  To me this image represents peace and serenity because I feel the most peaceful on or near the water.  I opted for just a "splash" of pink for this card.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Summer by the Sea
Paper:  Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Blue Bayou, Urban Garden DSP
Ink: Black, Various SU Markers
Accessories:  1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Linen Thread, White Gel Pen, Versa Marker, Clear Embossing Powder, Brayer, Sponge Daubers

Love Is: A Great Thing

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 14th - Read All About It

The challenge was to make a card that featured text in some way.  I decided to make my text the focal point.  I'm really trying to incorporate some of the items that have long been discontinued by Stampin' Up and this text if from the Love & Happiness rub-ons.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Canvas Background
Paper:  Whisper White, Early Espresso, Dusty Durango, DCWV Mat Pack Background Paper
Ink: Versa Mark
Accessories:  Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities Dies, Scallop Border Punch, Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Love & Happiness Rub-ons, Dimensionals

Glittered Chickadee

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 13th - Hope Is the Thing

The challenge was to be inspired by Emily Dickinson's poem "Hope is the Thing with Feathers":

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

I kept my card clean and simple so that the glittered chickadees would really stand out.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive, Christmas Cocoa DSP, Ski Slope DSP
Accessories:  Royal Langnickel Glitter Chickadees Rub-ons, Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities Dies, Dew Drops, Dimensionals

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 12th - Start Spreading the News

The challenge was to create a card inspired by a song from a musical or movie.  For some reason when I read this challenge the song "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" from the movie "Meet Me in St. Louis" popped into my head.  I think this image portrays the era from the movie.  The sentiment was computer generated and printed on very vanilla card stock.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Welcome Christmas
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Festival of Prints DSP
Ink: Versa Mark
Accessories:  Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities Dies, Scallop Border Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Dimensionals

Monster Mansion

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 11th - The Monster Mash

The challenge was to create a card inspired by the song "The Monster Mash"!  The inspiration could come from the lyrics, images or colors from the video that was posted but to keep it fun and not scary.  Obviously a Halloween card came to mind and since the "monsters" have to live somewhere I decided this image was their "Monster Mansion".

Here is the link to the video.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Haunted House
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Basic Black
Ink:  Versa Mark, Black, Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, Mellow Moss
Accessories:  Spider Web Embossing Folder, Black Embossing Powder, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Frost White Shimmer Paint, MS Drippy Goo Border Punch, Dimensionals

Beehive

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 10th - Ship Shape

The challenge was to make a shaped card - no circle, rectangle or square cards. I found a free quilt applique template on-line for this beehive and everything just came together.  I just traced the template on my so saffron folded card base and then traced it again on another piece to cut apart to add some dimension.  I sponged all of the edges with more mustard ink to add some depth.  The bees were created using the small oval punch (3/4" x 15/16") with barely banana and early espresso card stock for the body, 1/2" circle punch for the head in barely banana and the heart to heart punch for the wings with some glitter paper.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Very Vanilla, Barely Banana, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Early Espresso, DCWV Glitter Pack
Ink: So Saffron, More Mustard, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Small Oval Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Word Window Punch, Owl Punch, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Tombow Adhesive, Dimensionals

Caffeine Is A Vitamin

HYCCT Challenge Dated October 9th - You Had Me In Stitches

The challenge was to make a humorous card that incorporated stitching.  I don't actually own very many stamps with humorous sentiments but I love the statement "caffeine isn't a drug it's a vitamin".  I for one love my coffee to get me going in the morning.  I had originally planned to incorporate some faux stitching on the card but opted for double stitched ribbon for the stitching.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Morning Cup
Paper:  Whisper White, Green Galore, Pixie Pink, DCWV Summer Stack
Ink:  Black, Green Galore, Pixie Pink, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Pink Double Stitched Ribbon, Scallop Border Punch, Flower Rhinestone, Dimensionals
