Wintery Scene

The inspiration for this card came from here. I kept my card simpler since I will be mailing these and didn't want the added layers. The images were stamped on real red card stock (3" x 4") with versa mark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I stamped the snowflakes and trees again in real red which gives depth and shadows and then cleaned the red ink off of the embossed images with a tissue. Torn strips of white card stock were added on the real red layer to create snow drifts. The stamped image was mounted to black card stock (3 1/8" x 4 1/8") and then adhered with dimensionals to the white card base (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") that was embossed with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder. Icicle stickles were added to the snowdrifts to give the card a little sparkle.
Supplies Used: Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Black; Ink: Versa Mark, Real Red; Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Winter Post, Christmas Punch; Other: Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, White Embossing Powder, Icicle Stickles, Dimensionals
